Saying Goodbye...to a HOUSE?!

Every time we've moved, I've been happy to leave the house behind.  There was no looking back, missing the old house, wishing we could have moved it with us.  Well, tomorrow we get keys to our brand new house...which I am so excited about.  But for the first time, I am really going to miss the house we are leaving behind.  It is a great house!

I remember when we were house hunting, we found a house in Bellevue and one in Redmond...both great houses and closer to Mike's work but when I thought I wouldn't get this house I was sad to let it go.  Well we have had 4 great years in this house, made so many wonderful memories here, brought Summy home from the hospital here,,,and as excited as I am to have our new house...and even just a house of our own, it's still hard for me to let it go.

Easter 2017

Lisa and her family were here for Easter this year, which meant more eggs and more hunters!!   Summer and Eric were done pretty quick...Janae soon after, but Tyson, Ben and Alaina just kept on hunting until they found every single egg.  Until dinner, all Summer had eaten the entire day was chocolate...bad mom, I know.  Nursery was not fun that day, I think maybe some of the other kids had tummies full of chocolate too!

We somehow managed a Easter Sunday picture before church (probably only because church is at 1pm now).  Don't they look beautiful?!  And Ben, taller than Jordan?!  And Laina's new haircut!!  Such a great picture.

Here's the only picture where you can see Summer's Easter dress.  Mom gave it to me and it finally fit, and it looked so beautiful.  This sweet moment was when I heard Janae's violin and looked over...Summer was singing and moving the bow up and down while Janae patiently held the violin for her.  I just had to snap a picture.

Visitors

I love it when people come visit us.  Not only does it make me feel loved...but it forces me to clean my house...AND it gives me a great excuse to check out some of the sights of WA!

When the Leavitt's came, we went to sculpture park.  Which was a huge disappointment.  But we did get this great picture by the waterfront.  It was super windy, Summer was crying, and the sculptures were few and far between.

After lunch at a "very authentic" Italian restaurant, we headed up to the space needle and International Fountain (a couple of my favorite places in Seattle).  The sun came out and Summer's mood improved drastically (I guess she was hungry).

On our walk back to the car, it absolutely POURED with rain.  We were all completely soaked through.

When the Lamb's visited, we took them to Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue.  I had never been, but always wanted to check it out so we thought it might be fun for the little kids.  The animals were a bit of a disappointment, but there was a playground, and the sun was actually shining, and it was absolutely beautiful.  Oh, and we took them to the Cheesecake Factory too:)

The kids got free balloons, with the one request that we don't let go of them at the farm.  It took about 10 minutes before we were watching one disappear far into the sky.

I guess I really don't need to wait for visitors to explore WA...it just makes it so much more fun!

Our Dancing Queen

Well, she's only 16, but boy has she been dancing up a storm these days!  With 5 classes a week, being part of a competitive group, and the recital just around the corner, Jordan spends just about every day in the dance studio.  And if it didn't already break the bank, she'd be in there even more.  I'm glad she has found something she loves, and is willing to work hard and show off her talent to all of us.

Competition Make-up

After their first competition!

Dance Convention in Bellevue where they got to learn from some famous choreographers!!  This is Stitch from So You Think You Can Dance.
