Oregon 2019

When people hear that we've lived in Washington for 6 years and haven't been to Cannon Beach, they are usually shocked (just like me when I find out people who live here have never been to Canada--it's a different country and only 2 hrs away!!).  I decided that Kyla's farewell was the perfect chance to finally check it out.  So it was a great weekend of beach and church and The Boyntons...oh how we still miss them so much.

Cannon Beach was way more impressive than I expected...I guess that's why everyone goes there!  The sand was just like California beaches--heaven.  We will definitely be back (and we'll take Mike)!!

These kids keep on growing!

Kyla is headed to Latvia on her mission!
We are so excited for her and know she will be a fantastic missionary.

Meet CALLIE.......or Tim?

I told Summer that when we were back from our Canada trip, we could start looking for a new kitten.  Well, she held me to it and the day we got home, we started the hunt.  The only thing was, the hunt only took about 5 minutes!  As soon as I looked on Craigslist, I found a litter of kittens just down the street from us with an adorable little tabby...and it was even a girl (which is what we were looking for).  We headed over and by 10:30am, we had ourselves a new kitty!

I think she is the smallest kitten we've ever had...and look at those blue eyes!

We decided to name her Callie
(Mike and I both wanted to spell it Cali after the state since we used to live there, but the kids did NOT agree...they also vetoed "Mavis" which was my first choice)

Summer loves having a kitty that is small enough to carry around!!

And now Callie's gender is in question (the family we got her from said she was a girl)...I had no idea it was so hard to tell but I am kind of thinking Callie might be a boy.  When Summer heard that she said, "That's ok.  We'll just name him Tim"
