NHL Here We Come

A couple weeks ago, I took the kids to watch one of Mike's roller hockey games and Tyson sat on my lap and watched the ENTIRE game. Ever since that day, Tyson has been completely OBSESSED with hockey! Here's a few things he's done:

1) Tyson got out Mike's hockey bag. Before I realized what was going on, he had all Mike's equipment out of the bag and all over the floor. While I went upstairs to get changed, Tyson took all Mike's hockey "stuff" and spread it all over the front grass. He even had Mike's giant roller blades on. I made him put everything back in the bag and Tyson screamed and cried for at least 15min. "daddy's stuff, daddy's stuff".

2) He discovered the girls roller blades yesterday and he has had them on ever since. He has even managed to get them on and off all by himself (any of you who have worn roller blades, know that is not an easy task). I swear he is more coordinated in those blades than his big sisters:) Today he even got out my roller blades and said "mom skate, so much fun."

3) Tyson seriously wants to play hockey all day every day. He gets two sticks out and says "play hockey me". We have taught him that he can't use "hard" balls when he plays hockey because he hits it SO hard.

4) He talks about hockey all the time. He says "Daddy score goal", "Daddy fall down". He even slides around while he's playing hockey--because aparantly that is what hockey players do.

So although I am not sure I want my little boy to play competitive hockey in the future, right now it is really cute.

I guess pink roller blades are better than princess dresses! I'm thinking that Tyson will be really good at sports--he seems to have lots of natural ability and interest, and I'm sure having Mike as his dad will help :)
