Hello from LA!! I am FAR from settled, but we finally have our internet set up...so I had to take a few minutes to blog. I still haven't unpacked my camera battery charger so sorry, no pics of our new pad. Now I thought after the move was complete I would have less stress in my life. Well, it turns out there's MORE:
-we are still searching for a second car (Mike's Camry died right before we moved)
-I have been trying to figure out which school to put the kids in...only to find there is NO room to transfer to any schools, so they must go to their home school (hopefully it will be okay)
-we have been living without the internet for a entire week
-I don't know how to get anywhere (today I tried to find Walmart and...I'll share the rest of that story in it's own post)
-I still haven't got my Christmas cards out OR finished my shopping (and the stores here are crazy busy)
-we are still living out of boxes, which makes it very frustrating when you need to find something specific (like the kitty litter liners)
-I don't know anyone, so I can't leave my kids with a sitter...ahhh!
-AND worst of all, I haven't decorated for Christmas YET!!!

I totally know how you feel with the whole moving thing! It's frustrating...BUT...the great thing is that there is always next year to get everything "right":o)

If anyone deserves to be stressed it is you!!! I think I would take the holiday easy this year -- little decorating and no cards. Good luck with everything else. I feel ya on the school situation.
Well we miss you and are thinking of you. The kids still think they see you every time they see a Jeep like yours. and Kenyon keeps asking if Tyson will be at school when we go to pick up Adriann, so sad!!
Oh boy, I do not envy the moving during christmas season! LA sounds really exciting!!!! I hope to see pics soon.

I'm glad you've got the internet hooked up now! I wish we were closeby to help you--but it's good to know that so many things have worked out well so far (Mike's job, finding a nice house/neighborhood, etc.)--I'm sure you'll have everything else worked out before long, too. We're thinking about you! :)
We have moved in December twice and it was no fun. It was so un-Christmas-y because there was no way we could set everything up because of the timing. I'm sorry your life is so crazy right now. Just think...in a few months, you'll have loads of new friends, an organized house and new adventures to pursue. I wish we lived closer- we have a car for sale AND I could babysit!!!
Anita! We miss you! So glad you finally have internet. When we moved here we went THREE weeks without internet and it was torture! I know what you mean about feeling so lost when you're in a new area and not knowing where any of your favorite stores are. I hope you get settled soon! Oh, and we might be going to L.A. in January... Mind if we stop by? :-)
We miss you guys already! Have a great Christmas and don't let the stress get you.
Next time we're down that way, we'll call the Cooks and ya'll and have a Prunedale party.
