Worst. Day. Ever.

Tuesday was pretty rough. I managed to get up and to the hospital by 5:45am without too much getting in my way. Everything seemed to go well until I woke up from surgery!! I don't remember much...only I couldn't open my eyes and the room was spinning and I was throwing up over and over and over. Ugh, it was rough. My surgery was at 7:30am and I was supposed to be released at around noon, but at 6pm I was still so sick that they decided I needed to be admitted overnight. I remember thinking "I am NEVER having surgery EVER again!!" After a night full of vomiting, bed pans, and dizziness, I was finally starting to feel a little better. The anesthesiologist told me that he didn't think he had ever seen someone react so badly to medication before. Mike said I was white as a sheet!! The good news is that everything went well with my hip. The doctor said the surgery was a success and it doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would...yet anyways. But I am still pretty light headed and I haven't been able to eat much. I can't believe I have to be on crutches for two weeks!! My arms and hands are getting sore already!! Anyways, waking up from general anesthetic was worse than delivering any babies!!! Never again....I hope.

Hey can I bring you anything? Dinner, treats? Really you let me know! And it is hard with that medication. I get really bad with the epidural and worse with the spinal block. I throw up for hours during and after! Not cool. Hope you are feeling better!

That sounds so awful, Anita! I'm glad the surgery went well, after all you had to go through. Hopefully you'll get used to the crutches and everything will be going better soon! We're thinking about you :)

That's how I felt during my c-section, so I'm feeling for you!! I wish I was there to take your kiddos. Hope it gets better soon. By the way, when does Kya get baptized?

At least the hip part of it went well, too bad they didn't offer you what I had (concious sedation)! Sure hope you are feeling better.
