Before the kids go to bed, I usually ask them to tell me 3 good things about the day. I know this is not a unique idea...a lot of you probably do something similar, but I really think it is one of my favorite things. I wish I had been writing them all down because, it would be so fun to read what was said by 6 year old Jordan or 4 year old Kya or even 2 year old Tyson. No matter how terrible the day has been, when we take time to think of three good things, we always come up with so many more!
3 Good Things
(From the past couple night's)
Jordan's
Play date with Mia
Swimming
Losing a tooth
Kya's
Watching the eclipse
Family Home Evening
Playing Volleyball in the backyard
Tyson's
Playing Handball
Playing Monopoly Cards
Staying up late to watch a movie
I don't have to look very far to find my 3 good things!!

Anita,a good idea, you get to know your children even better. I'm sure you have had some strange answers. The scenery was really nice, is it near where you live?
Mom, these pictures were taken at a park really close by. It looks like we are out in the middle of nature, but we are right in the middle of the city:)
I love the pictures--they were perfect for this post, too :)
I like the idea of "3 good things" every day--we've actually tried it the past couple of days, and it's been fun to see what the kids say, especially Alaina (who--by the way--has been the only one able to come up with three things without "help").
So Cute!!
I do worst and best at the end of each day. I am always surprised to find out what really bothers my kids and what little thing each day was their favorite!
I should have written it down too. I always think I will remember. But no.
