Kya is...ALMOST 6!!

We are going to be in Canada for Kya's birthday~again~so we thought we should celebrate with Daddy before we leave. So we had some friends over, ordered pizza, opened some presents, and ate cake!
(Here's baby Kya~about 1 month old)

*About the cake: I saw a picture online of the Hello Kitty cake I wanted to make...we ran into a few problems. I dropped the cake pan on the cake (before I frosted it) and so the top layer had a split in it (luckily kids love lots of frosting), I forgot to cut the layers straight before I put them together (again, good thing kids like lots of frosting), and those stinkin' star shape frosting things are hard--they were a lot messier than they were supposed to be:) Oh, well Kya LOVED it and thought it was perfect--and that IS all that matters.

Happy Birthday Kya!!

Canada, get ready because HERE WE COME!!

  5. That's exactly what I learned in my cake decorating class. You can repair any cake mistake with icing! It looks adorable.
