There's no turning back now!

I have been debating for weeks now if I should attempt to do Kya's birthday party with Mike out of town or wait until he gets back from Australia. Well I made the invitations last night, so we are going ahead with it. Hopefully all 11 kids won't come...just kidding, but wish me luck!

It Never Gets Old

We had a much needed day at the beach this Saturday. Great friends make beach day even MORE fun...all we were missing was Daddy (he's in Australia).

He's making up for it

Tyson may have been a giant baby to deliver (9lbs 6oz)
He may have given me grief while living in my belly
He may have caused me to gain 500lbs in 9 months
He may have been a grumpy, difficult baby
And he may have even been a mischief-making toddler...
But he is sure a sweet, loving, perfect little 4 year old.

He tells me he loves me (more than the entire universe) at least 5 times a day--what more could a mom ask for?!

The Rules

I am the youngest of 4 girls, so I didn't get my own room until all my sisters had moved out (and I was in high school). I guess that is why I never had a sign like this on my door:

In case you can't read it:
-knock on the door before entering
-no jumping on the bed -no picking your nose
-no ripping pictures on the wall -don't touch, just look
-only come in if I say you can or if you say the right password
-after I scan you, I will let you know if you can come in
-if I don't answer, go away -do not come in naked (Kya)
-if you break in, you can not come in for a long time!
-make sure you knock and wait for an answer before coming in -no stealing stuff

I guess it's hard having a little brother and sister sometimes!

Must have more...books!!

I finished my book today...and the next one doesn't come out until August 24th!! Yes, it's the Hunger Games series. So, now I need some summer reading...any suggestions?!

...to have the opportunity to be the Mom of 3 amazing kids!

She's Been Busy

Kya has really grown up in the past few months and we are learning more and more about her personality. One the I have learned is that she LOVES just about everything and she wants to DO just about everything...which keeps her pretty busy.


Here's a poster we made for her teacher for "teacher appreciation week". Her teacher loved it so much, she just about started to cry. It said: "Ms. Mangos, Thank you for the "mounds" of work you do. I have learned "good & plenty" in 1st grade. I think you deserve an "extra" "payday"! I just wanted to tell you that I "skor"ed having you as a teacher. Love Kya
Here's a picture of Kya with her science project. She did an experiment to see which of 7 balls bounced the highest. We took pictures of her bouncing them all on the trampoline, then measured the heights. It was a lot of fun!
Here is Kya (and Tyson) helping me make lemonade! She is such a good little helper:)
When she's not working on all this fun stuff, she is at tee ball, ballet or swimming! She also tells me how she wants to do gymnastics, figure skating and pottery class. If only there were more hours in a day...and more money to spend:)

Did the Diddy

We finally made our way to Diddy Riese!! We have been hearing about this place since we moved to LA and it definitely did not disappoint! You get to create your own ice cream sandwich...the kids thought it was the best thing EVER...and for only $1.50, who can resist?

If you look close, you can see Mike made it into the picture too!
