Until Tyson was about 5 years old, root beer was called root beer"D" in our house. But regardless of what you call it, we love us some root beer!!
I've been wanting to do a root beer taste test forever, so last time I was at target, I picked up all the brands that they sold and we did it.
I thought A&W would win by a mile, but it was actually harder to tell them apart than I thought.
Here are the results for our favorites:
Mom-A&W
Jordan-IBC
Kya-Mug
Tyson-Barq's
That's right, we each picked a different one!! Now we have a whole lot of root beer to drink...but who's complaining?!

Summer is THREE Months Old
I just have so many cute pictures of Summer, I just have to share. This does not mean she is my favorite child, or that I think she is the cutest, or that I like her best. She is just new and changing and the only one who is willing to sit through so many photo shoots...not to mention we are alone all day together:) {She is 3 months old (give or take a week or two) in most of these pictures}
In her new swimsuit:
LOVES her bouncy seat:
Ignore the fuzzy hand, I just LOVE her expression here:
Here's another adorable expression:
With Mom:
Smiling...and laughing I think:
Another one snuggling with mom:

Summer School
With one week left before school starts, we thought we'd treat the kids to one last vacation...ehem, I mean one last session of "summer school". Here''s what we learned:
1. Summer isn't quite sure if she likes swimming or not....but she looks super cute in her swimsuit!!
2. Ted is really good at launching the kids off his shoulder!
3. When you watch an outdoor movie take plenty of pillows and blankets...and stay awake so you don't miss the end!!
4. Our family is awesome!
5. Pizza in Oroville is super YUMMY!!
6. Kids are ONLY excited about posing for pictures when showing off something they made:)
7. Veranda Beach is awesome!
8. Tyson LOVES to kayak.
9. Milkshakes taste better at the pool:)
10. Swimming with cousins is always more fun.
11. Jordan can walk on water:)
12. Smores are MESSY!!
13. Dad likes the shade more than mom...even if it means taking care of baby:)
14. Family vacations are the BEST!!

Milestones
We hit some milestones these past few weeks:
JoJo got braces!!!!
I'm not sure why this made me feel like I just got kicked in the stomach (maybe it's all the money I had to pay), but for some reason this made me really feel like I have a teenager. She is still just as beautiful as ever though!!
Then, this little one started giggling...and kicking her feet up, and rolling!! Next thing I know, she'll be in braces!!

What she missed most:
This girl has been off at Girl's Camp this past week. When I asked her if she missed home, this was her reply: "I missed TV, Instagram, sleeping in my own bed, and milk!"
Don't worry, I really know she missed her FAMILY the most :)

Miley AKA Murderer
See this kitty?
We think she is sweet.
We think she is the perfect kitty.
The birds and bunnies around here don't think so...if they could still think...
We had a bird house full of baby birds. Miley sat underneath that bird house constantly just waiting for a bird to fly out. We found multiple little birds on our porch.
Then I watched that sweet kitty carry a bunny into the backyard, drop it, play with it, then chew it's head off.
It's hard to look at her the same.
Poor bunnies and birdies:(

The Search Continues
Since this is our first summer in Washington, we went on a search to find our favorite swimming spot. After FIVE different "beaches", we are still not sure we've found the best one...hmmm....
Our first try Houghton...
...then Waverly...
...then we trecked all the way out to Edmonds Marina Beach Park...
...then down to O. O. Denny Park...
...and finally Idylwood Park.
Some were too rocky, some were roped off too shallow, some you had to take a swim test, some were too cold, some didn't have enough shade...etc., etc. So we continue the search...

FIVE kids for a week
We were lucky enough to have my niece Rebecca stay with us for a whole week!
She and Jordan went to the movies...
They hung out at the mall...
They got drug along while I ran errands (here they are taking pictures of themselves while waiting for baby to get her blood drawn)...
We went to the lake...
We went to the last evening of cub scout camp...
She helped with baby Summer...
We tie died shirts...
And, they stayed up practically all night and ate a whole lot of junk food!! What a great week:)
