Mother's Day is coming

I was just trying to think of a Mother's Day gift for my mom, and it got me thinking. What do you get for someone who carried you in their belly for 9 months, gave birth to you, and then gave up their whole life to raise you? Nothing quite seems enough.

I remember when I decided I was ready to have a baby. It was when I went to visit Tina and saw my neice Amanda for the first time. As I held that sweet little girl, I thought "I could do this"--I had no idea.

When Jordan was born, I couldn't believe what it did to me. One of my first thought was "I can't believe my Mom loved me this much." Another thought I had was "I will never be the same again"--I was right. Being a mom is incredible. It is something you can't really explain or understand until you experience it. I love my kids and I love being a mom AND I can't wait for Mother's Day :)

(I have no idea why my hair looks black--I swear I'm a blonde)

Even though everyday has it's ups and downs it was still worth every moment of it, you will see! I can say for sure Anita is a blond!

Amazing how universal those feelings are- that's exactly how I felt when Katie was born. I had no idea how much my mom had meant it when she said she loved me.
Life changing- I like that quote - something about how its like your heart is now walking around outside your body.
Let me know your great ideas for Mother's Day gifts!

I totally agree with the feelings you share. It's something you just don't understand until you have a baby. What a joy to experience love for someone like that!
