When Kya was 1 month old, her pediatritian told me her birthmark (Kya has always called it her "bookmark") would grow with her until she was about two years old and then would gradually disappear. As I watched that birthmark grow, I never thought it would go away. Now you can barely see it. Nobody even notices it anymore. Here is a before and after shot:

That is really amazing, Anita! I remember wondering, too, how the birthmark could possibly go away--and now it has :)
I remember when you said the Dr. told you that the "bookmark" would go away, but it just kept getting bigger and I'm sure we were all thinking "yeah right". It's nice to see that he was right, although Kya would be the same cute little girl no matter what had happened.
Wow -- that is amazing! You totally can't notice.
I was born with a gigantic hymangioma (sp?) (birthmark) on my chest. Mine was completely gone by about age 8. Now my skin is really thin there like rice paper. You can see my veins very clearly. Freaky!
