We are deifnately not in "Canada" anymore

So the "Canada" I grew up in and the "Canada" Mike grew up in are VERY different. In this post, I am talking about "my Canada"--you know, the one 1 & 1/2 hours north of Seattle.

It started raining VERY (and I mean VERY) lightly while I was picking the girls up from school today and here are some of the funny reactions I saw:

"Wow, it's actually raining"
"Quick get under the shelter"

"Bring the scarecrows in NOW!!"

And Tyson pointed at the rain drops like he had never witnessed this thing called "rain!"

Coming from a place that really rains just about every Halloween, I couldn't help but chuckle a little. Although I really do love the rain, from a practical stand point it's kind of nice that we don't get a lot of it:)
2004--A rainy afternoon with nothing to do!
I remember calling Mike at work because it was raining and I didn't know what to do with the kids. He said "let them play out in the rain"--of course they loved it (why didn't I think about that?!)

Those pictures are too cute! I'm not a big fan of the rain, either. Especially because I love to wear flip flops. :-) We're so spoiled in Monterey where it hardly ever rains!

We're sure in Canada--it is really raining here today! I remember missing the rain when I lived in Utah :)

Your post reminded me of when I came back to B.C. after living in Idaho and we had our first "snowfall"--just a light dusting, but the schools closed, nobody would drive their cars, etc. It was so funny after living in a place where everyone was used to snow!

Well as Lisa said it is sure raining here!! Tonight is going to be so wet for the little trick or treaters. I sent you a few pictures so you could relive your life here in the "liquid" sunny part of the north west.

I have no idea what I would do in a place that hardly ever rained....except SMILE ALOT at the fact that the bottoms of my pants would ALWAYS be dry... I love the out come of the rain though...it is so lush and green here!!!
