Summer 2015 Vacation--Part 7 (NYC...Day 2)

Day two of NYC was spent entirely in Central Park.  Such a strange thing to have such a giant park in the middle of a big city.  The day we were there was so hot and super busy (we later realized we were there on a Saturday and there was a city-wide water fight on The Great Lawn)!!

Summer got to go on her first ever carousel ride.  She was a little scared at first, but loved it by the end and didn't want to get off.

After walking in the heat for a while, we stopped to rest.  This field was full of mostly sunbathers, but we found some shade and enjoyed the beautiful view of the city...

...and some rough-housing:)

I thought it might be fun to have lunch at a hot dog stand in NY, well the hot dog stands in Central Park were disgusting.  Jordan, who hates hot dogs, ordered a soft pretzel and deemed in inedible:(  Needless to say, we had an early dinner.

One of my favorite pictures from the trip.  Kya and Dad posing in front of all the row boats.  We had plans to actually get out there and rent a row boat, but it was so hot and sunny that we opted out.

 Belvedere Castle.

We ended the day with a big long swim at the hotel...much needed after a long hot day of walking!
