By our last day in NYC, I was a bit tired of the bus and the subway and the craziness of the city. BUT I was excited for the day we had planned. TIME SQUARE!! Holy CRAZY and holy BUSY!! It was really cool to be in a place that you have only ever seen on TV.
We went to the GIANT Toys R Us and it was awesome. The big kids went on the Ferris Wheel (The M&M car), while Summer loved on some stuffies.
We then went to the NYC Library (4th Largest in the world according to our library gurue), but it was closed, hence the sad faces.
Grand Central Station was something I wasn't too excited about, but once we got there it was amazingly huge! And air conditioned! Spectacular.
Our last stop in NYC was Rockefeller Center. We really wanted to do this one at night, but with a baby we had to settle for daytime...although taking the subway at night might have been a big mistake anyways, so maybe it was all for the best.
The views from the "top of the rock" as they call it, were amazing. It started to rain giant rain drops while we were up there and it was so refreshing. I could have stayed up there for hours...but the kids couldn't...and Summer was starving. We ended up buying Summer a candy bar from the gift shop because it was the only food they had!! Then we bought her a banana on the way back to the subway and she ate it faster than I've seen her eat anything!! Poor baby.
We were sad to leave our New York hotel.
Summer liked to glass elevator and the "baby-level" fire extinguishers!
And the rest of us liked the fun pool, made-to-order breakfast, and the
free snacks and Shirley Temples:) But after three days of New York, we
were exhausted and ready to go.
