Where the grass is really greener

We have really been enjoying some WARM summer weather the past couple days!! This is a great place to live...we are about 10 degrees cooler than downtown, but still warmer than Monterey:) Jordan has been in "Dolphin Camp" this week, swimming with the sharks (literally!!) and we've been playing in the "not-so-hot" tub.

And I got a great deal on these cute bikini bottoms (since they were missing a top), to go with Kya's swimshirt.

Finally Finally Finally

Kya has been waiting a LONG time for this day!! While most of her friends have lost at least 4 teeth, Kya was feeling very left out...not any more...Daddy pulled her first tooth out this morning:) Look at that beautiful smile!!

My Home and Native Land

Every summer I get to go "home" to Canada...and every trip is filled with so much FUN.
There really isn't anything better than family!

There's always lots of cousin

and lots of Grandma and Grandpa

And THIS year...

We got to see the Vancouver temple
(my sisters and I also got to do a session together!!)

And I finally got to meet my newest niece AlainaEven though it's nice to be home, I miss my family every day!!

We are off to Canada today. Hopefully Mike and Miley will be okay without us:)

Family Camp Out

When we lived in Monterey our ward had a camp out every year. Since moving to LA we haven't camped...not once. So yesterday we went on a family camp out...in our backyard!! We had a blast.

Thank Goodness It's YELLOW

At Jordan's school they mail out the classroom assignments for the next year with their year end report card. Jordan's best friend called on Friday saying she's in Yellow Cluster (weird, I know...but Jordan's school is organized into "clusters" instead of classes). Well, needless to say, we spent Saturday waiting for the mail!! Normally, the mail comes to our house around 3pm. Well, of course it didn't come this Saturday until 5:30pm!!! All I can say is: Thank goodness she's in yellow too or we would have to listen to two and a half months of COMPLAINING!! Yay for Jordan:)
