Complete Randomness

I have sat down about 10 times to blog since I've been back from Canada and have been completely uninspired (which is very unusual for me since I love to blog/write). Anyways, so here is some complete randomness...no organization here--sorry.

-I bought a bra and wore it for 3 days before realizing it was a "nursing" bra.

-Jillian should have picked Reid...or more accurately--I would have picked Reid.

-There is no possible way my entire house can all be clean at the same time.

-I've lost 17lbs...SO FAR.

-It completely weirded me out when the male sales clerk was going on and on about how "cute" he thought the clothes I was buying were.

-Tyson threw my memory stick down the heating vent:( I still haven't found it.

-I started reading a new book today (A Thousand Splendid Suns) and I love it--Thanks Lisa!

-I went to Costco today to pick up some pictures...I came home with a bunch of great stuff...but no pictures:(

-I went to my muscle conditioning class yesterday (after being gone for 4 weeks) and it was awesome...today I can't barely move--ouch.
So that's all I've got for now. Maybe I'll be inspired sometime soon and write something a little more organized.

We're Back

We got home from Canada Friday
We had another completey fantastic trip!! And, I am pleased to announce that I came home with ZERO pounds of weight gain--that's a first for me (and with Mom's amazing cooking/baking [ie.blueberry pie], that is quite an accomplishment).
Now it's back to "business as usual"
Which means catch myself up on The Bachelorette, wash the cars, go to the gym, and clean clean clean. It's good to be home:)

How Much Can We Do in ONE Week?!

Well, we've been in Canada for just over a week now and we have definately packed in the FUN! Here's what we've done SO FAR:

-water park
-hiked Cascade Falls
-picked raspberries
-White Rock beach
-swimming and playing at Sheri's
-saw Ginny's new house
-walk to Jackson (to play at the playground--with NO water)
-went to church
-gone to the mall (for our discounted Canada shirts)
-Adeline Dairy
-dinner and playing at Lisa's
-worked out at She's Fit with Tina
-sleepover at Tina's
-Go Bananas

Now, what can we do for the rest of our visit?! Don't worry...it'll be just as packed:)

Kya is...ALMOST 6!!

We are going to be in Canada for Kya's birthday~again~so we thought we should celebrate with Daddy before we leave. So we had some friends over, ordered pizza, opened some presents, and ate cake!
(Here's baby Kya~about 1 month old)

*About the cake: I saw a picture online of the Hello Kitty cake I wanted to make...we ran into a few problems. I dropped the cake pan on the cake (before I frosted it) and so the top layer had a split in it (luckily kids love lots of frosting), I forgot to cut the layers straight before I put them together (again, good thing kids like lots of frosting), and those stinkin' star shape frosting things are hard--they were a lot messier than they were supposed to be:) Oh, well Kya LOVED it and thought it was perfect--and that IS all that matters.

Happy Birthday Kya!!

Canada, get ready because HERE WE COME!!

The LA Temple

Right in the heart of LA there's an enormously large plot of beautifully landscaped land (I wonder if they can only water twice a week?) with a giant building all dedicated to The Lord. How lucky are we that we live so close (about 15 min.--without traffic) to a TEMPLE?!

(Kya has turned into quite the diva--for pictures)
(Look how LONG their legs are--they are getting so big!)

(Pretty good picture for an 8 year old)
(And here's our family shot--one closed eyes, two not looking and one picking their nose:))

Time to Buy a Pony

I took the kids up to Griffith park today....and yes I paid the $3/each for them to ride a pony. They LOVED it!! Kya was the only one brave enough to ride one of the "fast" ponies.

We Made It!

We now have a Kindergarten Graduate

I just about cried when Kya's principal got up and talked about how grown up our little Kindergarteners are now. We got to watch a slide show of the past school year and watch Kya's class sing "What a Wonderful World"--so sweet (although I taped it on my video camera and how no idea how to transfer the file onto the computer). I am so proud of Kya--she has worked so hard and done so well in school this past year!

And we can't forget our little 2nd Grade Graduate

Aparently passing 2nd grade is not as big of a deal as Kindergarten because there were no festivities for us parents to attend--they just had a "kids only" class party. But we are still proud of Jordan and all the hard work she has done in school this year.

Let the SUMMER begin!!

The Shoes Say it All

There are only 3 more days of school left. It's a good thing because I don't think their school shoes could last a minute longer:)

And here's a picture of the jewel jars...they are slowly building up their collections. (These pictures are courtesy of my old camera BTW...3.2 mega pixels baby!!)
